  Composer ERIC ROSS , with video artist Mary Ross ( USA ), present a special World Premiere concert performance at the new Guggenheim-Bilbao Museum , Spain on November 12, 2009.  Eric Ross performs on guitar, piano and  synthesizer and is a Master of the Theremin, one of the first electronic instruments. Eric’s compositions are a combination of written and improvised music and include elements of jazz, classic, serial, and avant garde.  Mary’s videotapes and photographs, which are projected in performance, are organized, arranged and edited to his music. In an hour-long performance, The Rosses will present their most recent work, the Boulevard d’Reconstructie (Op.54).

 

Eric Ross says, “One of the exciting things on this tour is performing my music in some of Europe 's architectural masterpieces. The new Guggenheim-Bilbao museum in Spain, designed by Frank Gehry; the Bauhaus by Walter Gropius in Dessau;  the Residence Palace in Wurzburg of Balthasar Neumann, with frescos by Tiepolo; and Casada de Musica in Oporto, Portugal, designed by Rem Koolhaas; all provide beautiful and challenging spaces in which to work .

Kerchoonz Signs Key Independent Labels:
 4AD, Matador, Rough Trade, XL Recordings

Social Networking and music streaming site Kerchoonz announced an agreement with Europe's largest independent music label group, Beggars Group. The deal will allow users of Kerchoonz free access to around 20,000 tracks from Beggars' significant catalogue. Beggars Group represents the labels XL Recordings, Rough Trade, Matador, and 4AD and whose acts include a diverse selection of award winning artists such as Bon Iver, Jarvis Cocker, Vampire Weekend, British Sea Power, Cat Power, TV On The Radio and Grammy Award Winning 'Adele' to name but a few.

The agreement with the label group represents a major boost to Kerchoonz growing catalogue of top-notch independent music. The Beggars Group catalogue will be available on demand and for free through Kerchoonz ad-funded model that allows labels and musicians to be paid for their media streams. The deal includes music from all labels and artists. Fans will be able to stream and build music playlists and interact with the artist's through the Kerchoonz.com social networking portal.
